Dooovall Days

Our little hometown had their annual spring festival and hoe-down and just like we have for the past 6 years, we were there to be a part of it.

Not really much to tell you.
There's a parade down main street followed by live music, food and various vendors at the park.
I'll just post a few pictures and videos so you can see what went on:

No parade is complete without a high school marching band;

or a cheer squad;

We also have Mariachi music and Mexican vaqueros;

And cute little doggies in custome who like to pose

And that was pretty much all we did on Saturday.

On Sunday, we went to the annual Fireman's Pancake Breakfast at the fire station.
Our town has an all-volunteer firefighter crew, so every year they host a pancake breakfast to help raise money for new equipment and training.

Practically the whole town turns out for it and it's a great time to catch up with neighbors and friends that we don't get to see as often as we'd like.

Even G-rod and Kristi made it out to have breakfast with us that morning.

You can buy a raffle ticket when you pay to get in, and this year Hotness and I both bought some.
We're hoping to win one of the following:
gardening supplies from the hardware store
gift certificate from the BBQ restaraunt
organic groceries

2 things people had to say:

On a totally unrelated note, I remembered what it was I wanted to ask you yesterday. Did you still want some Ale 8-1?
