As much as I love comic books, Hotness loves horses.
And none were more special to her than Beau, her "old man" as she liked to call him.
He was her lesson horse for a while until she was able to purchase him from the barn he was at and 'rescued' him from the poor conditions he was living in.
She brought him to a new barn, fattened him up and spoiled him with lots of love.
Everyone who knew both of them (mostly 'barn-friends' and other horse riders) always complimented her on how nice and well-behaved Beau was.
She even managed to show off at an event with him one time.
He performed like a champ ( a retired champ, perhaps, but he did his best) and they even won some awards for their effort.
So it is with great sadness today that after struggling with a long illness, multiple vet visits and general "old age", that Beau had to put to sleep.
He held on the best that he could, but this last winter was pretty hard on him and he never really sprang back once the weather got nice.
In the last few days, he seemed more listless and uncomfortable than usual.
This morning at around 9:00 a.m., he got to finally rest and go eat hay in the greener pastures in the sky.
Good-bye Beau.
3 things people had to say:
RIP Beau. My heartfelt sadness for your loss. Pets are family too.
Mine too, they absolutely are family and I know how much Hotness adored him, I'm very sorry.
I am sorry to hear about your loos. It is always hard to lose a beloved family memeber. Big hugs to you and hotness.
